I ended up speaking with Deputy Manager Lisa, who was quite stubborn and dismissive, insisting that Panda Express doesn't send cancellation emails (which makes little sense) and reiterating that they weren't the ones who charged my card. I then contacted DoorDash, only to find out that they had no record of my order because I had placed it through Panda Express. After explaining the situation to Panda Express customer service, they promptly issued me a refund. I want to make it clear that I won't be ordering from this location again, as they don’t seem to verify delivery orders properly – the DoorDash driver accepted my order even after it had been canceled. I'm also waiting to see if I’ll get my $2 tip for the driver back since the whole order went unfulfilled. Overall, I had a frustrating experience with poor customer service at this restaurant. I wish Deputy Manager Lisa had been more helpful and directed me to the proper customer service channels.
Additionally, when we first received the bowl, the chicken was fresh. Yvonne told my wife that they weren’t planning on making any more orange chicken since it was already 9 p.m., even though we had placed our order 45 minutes before closing. One of the cooks suggested they should prepare more, as it is their most popular dish. Overall, I was quite disappointed with the level of professionalism at this particular Panda Express location, especially since it has been one of our favorite fast food spots.
The quality of the food here has declined quite a bit recently. Some dishes are okay, but others make me wish I had cold Campbell's soup instead. For example, the chow mein today had more lettuce than noodles, and the Beijing beef had no meat flavor, just mushy breading. I'm earning the same amount of money I did before COVID, yet I'm now paying nearly double for food that is nearly inedible. I ended up throwing away the Beijing beef, and I'm not a picky eater. I'll definitely reconsider coming back. This place isn’t cheap for a quick meal, so I expect much better quality.
It was satisfactory, but the food was served at room temperature instead of hot. I doubt we'll return anytime soon. The International Buffet City next to Publix offers a better experience, as you can select a variety of dishes on your own instead of just having one meat option in a bowl. It really wasn't to my taste. Additionally, we couldn't use the coupon for a free drink, so we ended up having to drink water with our meal.
This particular Panda Express is the best fast food restaurant in the area. The service is quick, the food is consistently tasty, and the staff are friendly. I usually order the super greens, and unlike at other Panda Express locations where they can be undercooked, here they are perfectly cooked and delicious.
