El Olivio Mexican Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience, particularly noteworthy for their homemade chips and fresh salsa. The salsa is a standout, bursting with freshness and a depth of flavor that complements the chips beautifully. The chicken is cooked to perfection, tender and infused with savory spices that highlight the quality of the ingredients. Overall, El Olivio provides a memorable and authentic... View all feedback.
What Gretschen Martin doesn't like about El Olivo Mexican:
Just left, and the server Maria was more focused on her phone than getting my order right. I asked for chicken and got beef. Just the little things can offset a mood. Plus she took the menu and never came to check on our table if everything was fine. So I just ate the beef and bounce. BUT BEST BELIEVE I WOULD NEVER GO BACK. WASN'T WELCOMING PLACE AT ALL. SAD CAUSE I JUST MOVED HERE. I'LL FIND ANOTHER AUTHENTIC MEXICA... View all feedback.
This place is nasty to me because the chicken made my stomach hurt and almost made me throw up, do not believe these
Bring CASH to pay your bill. They charge you 3% of your total bill if you use a debit/credit card! The ONLY restaurant we’ve encountered that passes on that fee to the customer. Service was not great, we saw our server (Maria) 3 whole times during our entire visit. She seemed overwhelmed with the 3 whole tables that were dining in there. The chips salsa were awful. The chips were so hard I just about broke a tooth. The salsa was so runny, it was more like colored water, with no flavor. Our food was brought to us by someone other than Maria. NO ONE returned to our table after the fact, to see how everything was or if we needed anything else. We had to go up to the counter to pay our bill. The man at the counter didn’t even ask us how everything was. Yes, we left Maria a tip. Not sure if she’s new OR, just not great at serving people, so we gave her the benefit of the doubt. In the end, our bill for lunch for 2 came out to $42.00 (tip a 3% charge for using a credit card included). We left disgusted felt like we would have had a better experience at Taco Bell, they don’t charge customers for using a debit/credit card. For a small business, you need to make some big changes. There’s way too much competition out there. You won’t survive with mediocre food service. Also, you need to put prices of all of your beverages on your menu. Maria didn’t know the answer when we asked the prices. Not a place we will bring our business to again! Extremely disappointed!
Fresh chips, they make their own tortillas. It’s fresh and quick. The waitress was informative and nice.

From the seating chart to the quality of service to the taste of the food Mid at best and that’s generously put. Warning: no queso and chips and salsa are $3 after your first, very tiny, basket. The “nacho cheese” is extremely bland, tastes like it came right out of the can into a bowl and onto my food. The table next to us left as we sat down and as we were paying the table was still not turned over. Menu needs to be adjusted and tweaked, would like to see combos.
