What User doesn't like about McAlister's Deli:
This place needs help! The manager/owner clearly has no idea what happens in this place. Register scanner didn't work again. (or the cashier has no notice every time) I was not able to use pts the last three times in this place or earn because they can scan?t. (No idea if they can eat it or not.) The cashier was so inconvenient that he gave me a reception. (I will add the meal myself at least.) 2pm are several employ... View all feedback.
The Broccoli cheddar soup, costing an extra $3 more than other sides, had a sour taste. I'm uncertain if it contains sour cream or not, which makes me hesitant to eat it. The tomato and cucumber salad side was disappointingly less than half full. The staff was friendly and there were no major issues.
We waited nearly 30 minutes for 2 sandwiches at this restaurant, despite it being empty. Additionally, the potato salad we ordered had no lid and was extremely small in portion, resembling only two spoonfuls. When I questioned the staff about the portion size, I was informed that it measured 4 ounces. It was a disappointing experience to pay for a meal and receive such a small portion that did not even fill half the bowl. Overall, it felt like we were being ripped off. Not a good dining experience.
Bad experiences. Not just one, but Several! Manager and employees will avoid you, and make you wait 10-15 minutes, when, your order is Ready. But, only if you're a certain race. Prejudice. If they do this to your face, what do they do to your food?! Like I said, I've seen it several times. I'll NEVER buy anything from this place. Pay close attention while you're there.
I have never been to a worse McAlister's Deli than this location. I don't have many lunch options at work, but every time I order from here, I have to wait 35-45 minutes and my order is still wrong. Today, I received a cup of soup instead of the bowl I paid for, and they didn't include dressing for my salad. I called the restaurant two months ago for coupons that never arrived. I recommend going to Jersey Mike's instead, as they are always reliable. The incompetence at this location is shocking. It seems impossible for them to get anything right. I have spent a lot of money here on food that I never received. It's frustrating to see them constantly understaffed when nearby restaurants are fully staffed. It's clear that this location has a leadership issue.
The McAlister 's Deli Experience (Walk-In Edition). On this day, I chose McAlister 's because it was a rainy day and perfect for soup. I walked in, and someone greeted me once at the counter. So, I ordered their Choose 2 meal option. Then, I selected their Savannah Chopped Salad that comes with grilled chicken, dried cranberries, gorgonzola, honey roasted almonds, tomato, and cucumber on mixed greens with their sherry shallot dressing. I also ordered their Broccoli and Cheddar soup made with cheddar and Monterrey jack cheese mixed with chunks of broccoli in a creamy base made from chicken broth. The service was decent and prompt, and I was out of the door in no time. Once eating the salad was pretty good. I enjoyed the different textures and the flavor of the dressing. However, the soup was another story. I felt it was watered down and did not taste good. There were a few chunks of broccoli but nothing that would make me order again. So, I was slightly disappointed since the idea of soup was my main objective for coming. So, would I come back to McAlister 's Deli? Of course, I would try them again, but I would not order that broccoli and cheese soup.
