Cagney's Kitchen reminds me of the best England food and the old school way with seasoning and cooking. I would usually breakdown what I ate but real home cooking is home cooking whether everything is done from scratch or majority. I have actually fell in love with their grits as a first timer so you can say love at first taste?? And love at first bite would be the biscuit...of which love at first bite sounds kind of vampire-ish. The food comforting for sure sure.
The Christian music playing was the first sign I wouldn't like this place. The patrons were all about 60+ years old, second sign. The third being the food. Disappointing places like this seem to thrive despite serving bland and poorly put together food.
Family friendly restaurant! Owner is awesome and engages with the customers . We love their food and highly recommend this restaurant!
Had been hearing good things about this recently built Cagney 's, so we tried it for lunch. The food was good standard diner fare and an improvement over the last time I visited the old Cagney 's next door. Their fried okra and fried squash is much improved. Same menu, but better quality food.
