I usually order, and have food delivered from here. I went in tonight to order. The atmosphere is so pleasant, and it was so clean. There were only two cooks there, one was taking orders and cooking. The wait time was not long, and I ordered three meals. The fish sandwiches were piled high, the French fries, and catfish nuggets were really tasty. Plus they had chocolate brownies, and banana pudding for desert. A grea... View all feedback.
What Merideth F doesn't like about Skrimp Shack:
If you have to exclaim that you have the best type of a food in town on your sign it means your food is subpar, and that held true for this place. Dirty restaurant, slow service, forgot two of 5 items on the Togo order. I have been to location in Florida so figured I'd check this out while in town on a work trip, and it was night and day different. Not sure if it's different owners or not, but this one needs to lock... View all feedback.
The Skrimp Shack has been on my to-do list for a while. They claim to serve the “Best Fish sandwich in the Triad”. My wife and I opted for lunch baskets. My wife chose the flounder lunch with fries and I had the haddock basket. I loved the two haddock filets. As it turns out, haddock is a mild, meaty filet. Both of us thought the tarter sauce was superior to most served in restaurants today. The fries were well fried and served with a high quality catsup on the table. We’ll be back! I recommend that other Triad foodies give this family owned business a try.
Yesterday was my first time eating here I must say, the food was delicious!! I don't think I have seen a fish sandwich that big. It was soooooo good!! But the okra were the best. Probably some of the best okra I have ever eaten. I will definitely visit again, very soon!

This flava (no, not flavor givin ' establishment stays serving up deliciousness on several levels. Although I eat a plant-based diet 97.3% of the time, I occasionally get a hankering to walk on the pescatarian wild side. Enter, Skrimp Shack. There deliciously, although delicately seasoned fried fish, perfectly browned hush puppies, and well-made coleslaw have all been well-received by my palate. They do a wonderful job of frying the fish perfectly, not too soft, not too hard. They also offer a variety of types of seafood and side dishes. However, since I 'm allergic to shellfish and dairy, and don 't eat chicken, beef or pork I haven 't tried anything but the Whiting Basket, Catfish Basket, Fish Tacos, hush puppies and cole-slaw. That being said, I 've tasted enough to know I 'd recommend this spot to anyone looking for a place to satisfy their seafood taste buds. The only reason they 're not receiving a full 5 stars from me, is because recently their consistency with portion size and quality control has been a little off. However, I did speak to the manager, and he says there were some new staffing changes and they 're on it. Good news! My last order was perfect.
