I happened to stumble on this place. I wanted to go to another café, but this DID NOT disappointed. We all enjoyed our food and service was more than accommodating. I had the fried chicken sandwich, buffalo style and when I say that was the best chicken sandwich I ever had, I mean it with sincerity. The chicken was sooo juicy! I shared a flying mimosa with my friend. We have the Cinnamon pear, pumpkin apple cake (I t... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Midtown Cafe And Dessertery:
Super disappointing. Ordered to go and clearly should have more thoroughly inspected the food before we got home. Fish was so incredibly over fried that you couldn't tell what was breading vs. fish. One of our sides was wrong. Veggies had an odd taste and chicken was too salty. $40+ wasted. View all feedback.
Kitchen staff can't read notes or just simply doesn't care. Likely a combination of the 2. Then DoorDash has to pick up their slack. How hard is it to include a side of bacon and 2 eggs. It's on the receipt that is stapled to my bag...You don't have a kitchen manager who checks the tickets before they go out? Food is decent when it's correct.
Friendly place, good vibe. Service was very good. Food is well prepared and prompt. Will visit again.
Have been here multiple times and tried different things. Everything that I've eaten has been great! No complaints on the food or service.
They brought me ham and cheese omelette and I had ordered a veggie omelette. The place was freezing cold to the point I couldn't wait to get out of there. It was also very loud with people packed in too tightly. Cake was average at best. I had the macadamia nut carrot cake. Sounds wonderful but it wasn't. It had a weird plasticky texture. I've had regular carrot cake that was way better. Oh and the omelette had the veggies on outside rather than the inside. Is that a hipster thing? Home fries were literally deep fried and some were so hard they could not be chewed. On a positive note...the ice tea was good!
My family of four enjoys Midtown Cafe very much! To be expected, you’re getting traditional diner food, and not a five-star luxury breakfast meal. Eggs are perfectly scrambled, the sausage is always so delicious, the pancakes are what you’d expect, and the service has always been solid. We’ve been going here 10+ years, and still enjoy it.
