Hakkachow - Winston Salem

We didn't expect much based on the long line of people waiting, but after a 50-minute wait for a table, it was clear that it was worth it. My wife and I decided to sit at the bar and enjoy a drink while we perused the menu for sushi rolls. We were able to take our time and choose our dishes before being seated. I ordered the ahi tuna roll and my wife chose the pad thai. The portion sizes were larger than expected, with the ahi tuna being perfectly prepared and delicious. The pad thai was served in a generous portion and had a spicy and delicious flavor. Despite not requesting it, my wife found herself halfway through the meal before realizing that she hadn't been given any white sauce typically served with Asian dishes. The staff, including the hostesses, bartenders, and waiters, were all friendly and efficient. The prices were similar to other Thai restaurants, and overall, we had a delightful 2-hour dining experience.

This restaurant is fantastic. Our server was an older gentleman who was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations for my daughter and me during our first visit. We ordered the Thai-Beef-Curry salad as an appetizer and it was excellent. It had shrimp and was enough for two people. The fried banana dessert was a delicious way to end the meal. I also appreciated how they tap on their device to easily show the total bill.
