Very good fresh food, daily menu special rotates so you have options beyond what is on the menu. Prompt and efficient staff, excellent tea selection and old world charm make this a great stop for lunch in Winnsboro. View all feedback.
What Shirice L doesn't like about Cornwallis House Tea Company:
I am quite disgusted by the irresponsible actions displayed by the owners of this company for taking part in a rally that supported the reckless rhetoric that came out of the Trump administration. Countless lives have been lost due to the pandemic and not only did they disregard that when they attended the super spreader event but opened to the public without ensuring they were free of COVID-19 after attending the ra... My friend and I often come here, our little hiding place in Winnsboro. If you want to take a step back, relax, enjoy a beautiful cup of the many teas they have, then come here. Home Mixed teas, old cameos and walls of tea pots make you welcome. Food is also fantastic and always have daily specialties that add to the amazing offers. If you feel that you want to take the tea home... you can. Buy a can of 25 bags of your favorite. ( trust me his WELL worth it. The prices are nothing to fear, very well appreciated. Honestly, I feel a little dishonest and that I stole food when I'm telling the bill. Please go with your belly and support this setup!
Great little lunch place. Food is excellent every time. The staff is very friendly and offers a great service. I had the turkey panini and it was very tasty. You have several hot teas to choose and I recommend the Libertea. It's worth the 40-minute drive. You also have delicious desserts. I recommend the pancake.
Food with a fine touch at Sunday brunch/dinner (when more substantial food is served), where we were welcomed into a buzzing small dining room bursting at the seams with locals. The place is set up as a tea room and sells its own delicious blends. Absolutely the best unsweetened tea I have ever had. The pie, on a delicate, buttery phylo crust, was superb. Worth a detour to this tiny small town historic district.
1. Let's see. I was very happy with the food and service. Will be back.
A hidden jewel in downtown Winnsboro. The atmosphere is beautiful and peaceful; it is beautifully decorated and there is always pleasant background music. The teas are wonderful and very cheap. The set menu offers a variety of flavors with high quality ingredients. They also have a soup of the day and other daily specialties. The dessert selection is fabulous! I always have a hard time between the many delicious choices. Cake, cake, cookies, bars, you call it. A great place for lunch or for a cup (or a few) tea and a sweet treat!
