This Little Place - Winnipeg

Ever since the patio opened, there have been some men that hang out on the patio well after the restaurant closes and I can only assume they're affiliated with the owner. My parents live in the building and the exit from the parkade exits on to the patio. Not knowing the door led on to the patio my mom and I left through this door, and one of the men started harassing my mom! It's too bad, I really like the restaurant but I don't think it's right that people affiliated with the restaurant can harass tenants of the building.

I went to get two sandwiches today for lunch for my friend and I. I figured i would try the place since its right across the street from where I am staying. What a discovery ! The food is amazing, delicious sandwiches and super quick service. Be forewarned, the sandwiches are HUGE even if they aren't that expensive. I would recommend you get half a sandwich because they are packed with delicious goodness. I ordered the Burt and the Riel. Burt = chicken parmigiana sandwich and the Riel = vegetarian with spinach, zucchini , cheese and tomatoes. I loved both! Highly recommend this place.

A friend introduced me to this gem of a restaurant on Edmonton Street just south of Broadway. Plenty of windows create a warm atmosphere which is furthered by artwork created by local photographers and painters. The food is tasty and plentiful. Couldn't finish my taco salad which was fresh and spiced to perfection. Next time I will try one of the sandwiches which are rather unique (see photo). Service was prompt and friendly.

Folks, this is DEFINITELY a place that I recommend to my friends and family. My husband and I go here often. Melissa, the owner, is super friendly. Amazing food. Generous portions. Great prices. Comfortable atmosphere with neat decor and local art on the walls.

Had the poached eggs, toast, and bacon and added some hash. Everything was cooked great, really good bacon, soft poached eggs were just that, and coffee was pretty darn good. Also has the Local Frequency points which is good if you're a winnipeger. Don't expect to get blown away with creativity or anything. But if you want a very well prepared normal breakfast, than go.
