The Original Pancake House - Winnipeg

The weather was bad, so the restaurant was not very crowded during dinner time. The service was fast and the server was very patient with our talkative son. She allowed us to order his food right away so he could eat as soon as possible. We ordered French toast for him, eggs Benedict, and the super giant breakfast. His food arrived in about three minutes, and ours only took a few minutes longer. Everything was delicious. The server was quick to offer refills on our drinks and coffee. It was definitely worth the drive.

We visited one of the 'houses' in Winnipeg located on Pembina, just south of the Jubilee underpass, on a Saturday morning before noon. This restaurant has been there since I was a child and has remained relatively unchanged. It is a reliable choice for a tasty breakfast. On this occasion, there were three of us and we decided to try something different from the usual eggs, potatoes, and toast or pancakes. Unfortunately, the food was just okay and didn't leave a lasting impression. Perhaps my nostalgia for the restaurant influenced my opinion. However, the service was excellent, with constant refills of coffee and glasses of ice water. The restaurant was not too crowded, allowing us to linger after we finished our meal without feeling rushed.

I had a fantastic lunch at Pancake House! I tried the Turkey Club Sandwich and my friend had the Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon, both of which were delicious. The service was quick and friendly, making our experience even better. This was my first time dining at Pancake House, and I can't wait to come back and try more of their tasty dishes.

Enjoyed a nice quick breakfast here, but they need to being back their vegan/vegetarian options.
