Lunch with my daughter while in area. Restaurant is so cute, with the Star theme everywhere. Great lettuce wraps. Bit of a mix up with the chicken strips when the fries got forgotten, but were good when the arrived. View all feedback.
What Wyman Robel doesn't like about Star Grill:
I have been to the Star Grill roughly 7 times. Wait times are aweful each time I go! The the food is good but pricey.I would go more often but the wait time is terrible. Each time I go there it takes 20 minutes for a server to come take my order. Once my order is in it takes another 40 minutes to get your food. I ordered 2 clubhouse sandwiches how the hec does it take so long every time I go!There was only one other... View all feedback.
This place rocks! I was in town on business and found it on Yelp, so I stopped by for dinner.
Found this amazing place on yelp and decided to check it outVisiting the peg for a few days and already want to come back just to go here.
Interesting quirky restaurant in Winnipeg Decoration and aesthetic of the restaurant was not to the standard of the food.
Located at the corner of Portage and Mandeville St in old St James, the Star Grill is situated across from one of the most popular landmarks in the city, the Assiniboine Park Footbridge. It quickly became evident that this place is a favorite Sunday morning brunch spot for people taking a leisurely walk through the park or just enjoying the abundant green space on a warm summer day. As you enter the place, you are welcomed by cosmic fusion of the mystical Far East and Mediterranean decor with an astrological motif. Constellations of far off galaxies grace the walls amidst the stars dangle from above. The menu runs a full gambit of vegetarian, dinners for family and friends, traditional homemade burgers or intimate and sinfully appetizing deserts for two. After your meal, the Star Grill shows patrons why it's named after celestial bodies. Patrons are invited to try a Tarot reading, the belief of a powerful form of divination that uses an ancient deck of cards to "help you find answers to your most important questions about love, relationships, your career, finances and more".

I saw at least 3 people in the kitchen with aprons on so no shortage of employees. I'm done with this place!
