I really loved our meal at Smitty"s. At first it seemed like a low end restaurant but when entering it had a homey atmosphere. The staff are very courteous, the meal was affordable, plenty to eat and cooked to perfection. Even the vegetables were super and not over cooked. I will definitely be back to this one in August. What User doesn't like about Smitty's:
While the food has mostly been good, other problems exist. Senior meals are offered until 6pm. While we arrived before 6, the waitress did not come to our table until 6:12. Because of this out senior's meal was not longer offered (Hawaiian Chicken). So for two dollars more we had to choose another meal and did not get coffee, salad, and desert. I had a brief visit and the hostess was as welcoming as always, making me feel right at home. I love coming here because of people like Taylor.
I recently stopped by this restaurant for breakfast and was promptly greeted, served, and on my way. The food was tasty, although I didn't particularly enjoy the sausage. Overall, I would consider coming back in the future.
We ordered the Hawaiian roast, beef dinner, and shrimp dinner, all of which were of high quality. The dishes were beautifully presented on the plate and tasted absolutely delicious. We were pleasantly surprised when we were allowed to share a meal, each served on separate plates - a unique touch we had not seen before. We had a leisurely visit in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. We also noticed several patrons watching hockey at the bar, something we will have to check out on our next visit. For a wonderful culinary experience, great food, exceptional service (thanks to Jayne), and an affordable meal, be sure to visit Smitty’s on Pembina Highway at Grant Avenue. Their senior menu is a great deal and you will not be disappointed!
Had a wonderful evening! we decided to have a late birthday at smitty while we are visiting with friends in winnipeg because it has a long tradition of excellent eating and excellent service. we were not despised! this restaurant was immaculate clean of carpets, windows, tables, cutlery and even the lights. our waitress jayne was very polite, fast, happy, had great attention to details and had a profitable attitude rarely seen in a server. we ordered a roast beef dinner, shrimp basket dinner and Hawaiian chicken, all superbly cooked with high quality vegetables and meat. the grinding times were presented very artistically on the plate, and a large portion size. we were also allowed to share an dinner served on tellers, which we have never seen before. we have traveled a bit in Canada and this food was the best of any chain restaurant. the sporty looked very welcoming and there were several people who watch hockey and enjoy the ambiente. we recommend these smitty’s, especially the senior menu, and ask for jayne! thank you.
Mel is the best sever in town, very fast and friendly, she pays attention to all your needs! Great spot to watch your favorite sporting invent. Wings are hot and fresh! Beers are ice cold!
