My most favourite time of the year is when Sargent Sundae releases their pumpkin pie soft serve. SO GOOD! They have a great selection of hard ice cream along with various sundae combos. I usually like getting their glaciers (slurpee and soft serve) but since they introduced a limited menu due to COVID, it hasn’t been available. View all feedback.
Excellent and quick customer service. Great value and portion sizes. My first time coming here and I was a overwhelmed by the menu selection. I've asked the staff member to give me a recommendation of what's the most popular thing that they sell here and I decided to go with a hot fudge sundae. I'd love to try the other stuff on the menu when I'm on this side of town again. Highly recommended to those who have not been yet.
Very good waffle cones. Generous portions and delicious ice cream. It’s open for longer hours than most ice cream places so this has become my go to in Winnipeg. Prices are pretty decent and the staff is very sweet. Would love to see a ‘tiramisu’ flavour added to their menu.
Hands down the best ice cream in Winnipeg. Its not too expensive, they have a good variety, and they give great portion sizes. They are popular so you may have to wait in line, but it is worth the wait. I loft their soft serve chocolate, and mixing the brownie hard ice cream with cookies and cream (perfect combo, so delicious). But they have lots of unique flavors too! Getting your ice cream then going for a walk at Assiniboine Park is great on a hot summer's day, or great for a serene walk in the evening, to watch the sunset over the river. Highly recommend!
Really *sweet* ice cream place! They have great variety of really flavourful flavors. Their hard ice cream is a great consistency, and their waffle cones have that great crunch! Know that their chocolate dipped cones can have peanuts on them, the wait to order can be a fairly long line outside in the sun, and that everything is quite sweet, otherwise it's pretty much a dream come true for ice cream lovers.
A Winnipeg institution! It isn't officially spring in Winnipeg until Sargent Sundae opens. Visited most recently during the July long weekend. I paid with cash (however I was told they accept debit/credit cards now since the pandemic) and did not see a tip jar available. Having worked high intensity customer service jobs myself, implementing an option for customers to show their appreciation for quality service would go a long way. Would like to see this in the future!
