The first time we tried and we were very disappointed. We went for dinner and the food quality was not the greatest. Price was OK. Service was exceptional. We went a second time to give it another chance for lunch. Food was amazing! Maybe it was an off day when we went the first time. I am glad I went a second time. Recommend the food, price was decent and the service is always amazing. View all feedback.
What chris rideout doesn't like about Salisbury House (portage Parkdale):
The restaurant was crowded, but unfortunately, the cleanliness did not meet the expected standards. The kids' chicken fingers were too dry to be eaten. However, the server was friendly and did a great job keeping our table supplied with drinks. View all feedback.
This restaurant is our go-to spot for breakfast with my family! We absolutely love it.

The service at this restaurant was subpar. I ordered one egg, two bites of toast, and hashbrowns. The eggs were undercooked, the toast was burnt, and the hashbrowns were raw in the middle. When I brought it to the attention of the waitress while paying, she responded rudely saying "well, you ate it!" A simple apology would have been appreciated. I did not leave a tip.
I used to love Sals... but now???...I gotta say, the foods still is pretty good...not great...but pretty good at best...it's the price...utterly ridiculous...we just spent $50 for breakfast...3 pan cakes, a couple pieces of bacon, a side of hash browns, the tiniest bowl of French onion soup known to man and a tea...$50...for breakfast...for 2 ppl...are you insane...nope, you're not...its me that's would be insane if I ever went back...sorry, used to like Sals...now you're just somebody that I used to know...Corp greed, alive and thriving in Wpg
