Just outside the perimeter but worth the trip. Great breakfast made from scratch and good prices. Kid gave two enthusiastic thumbs up for the clubhouse and the coffee; omelette was also very satisfying. Shredded hash browns could have been cooked a bit longer, but overall...More View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Roxy's:
Heard from people it was a great place to go. We get there and it takes 5 minutes to even get menus. Than we order our food and after waiting 15 minutes I was told that the Alfredo sauce for the fettuccine wasn't available. Our meals come and the steak for the bud spud meal was more gristle and fat than meat. The baked potato well undercooked. Barely any chilli in the taco salad. The waitress forgot about our drinks... Good, well cooked food. Interestingly varied menu as far as the average pub/bar goes. There is a large lounge area as well as a separate bar area. What makes Roxy's a cut above average is that they have daily drinks specials as well as some food specials. Their taco salad is very generous portion-wise and a good choice for a hunger buster lunch if one still has dinner coming. I do find their fries a tad too well fried for me, but thats simply my fussy choice - i prefer fries nice and light in colour, not dark and over-crisp.While being in Winnipeg we eat here fairly often as its convenient, food is always good and drinks are cold! Staff are great and make one feel at home.I'll always be back!
Family went here for early Supper 5PM on Saturday. We had eaten here before food was good. This time services was slow and only one other table of 2 in restaurant. Bar was empty. Once we ordered food came in reasonable time. Wife had a chicken stir fry all celery few peppers lots of rice may be half chicken breast for 18.95. Daughter had burger and fries that were good. Son had large Greek Pizza for 20.00 only size available said it was ok but not best he ever had. Toppings a little on light side. I had spaghetti and meatballs. Sauce was watery tomato sauce balls seemed to contain a lot of bread crumbs watery and soft. When we went to leave needed box for left over pizza brought styro containers. Guess the don't do take out pizza. If you go here stick to burgers and fries. Rest of food is very average. If it is home made need better recipes. Prices are little too high as well for atmosphere and quality of food.
I ordered the pulled pork poutine and it was excellent! The combination of the sweet sauce from the pork mixed very well with the cheese, gravy and fries. A generous helping and reasonably priced.
We have been here for breakfast and it was awesome. Went back for lunch - great. Dinner and drinks - wow! Fresh, homemade and delicious. Always great service and excellent food!
