Had an awesome experience at Passero! Ambiance was great, food was ?? the server was very knowledgeable and offered great recommendations to our group? lobster carbonara and the tuna carpaccio were our favourites!
Passero is truly a one of a kind restaurant and I?m definitely hoping to go back soon. Everything on the menu looks incredible and I?m glad we did shared plates to try out several different dishes. My only minor critique is that the current cocktail selection wasn?t really aligned with my palate, maybe I could?ve requested something else. A true gem.
The food was delicious and waiter we had (mike) did an amazing job explaining each dish. Prices are normal for what you get. Wish they had a longer list of cocktails but other than that it was a perfect date night location.
For the first time in Passero. The restaurant itself was very unique and clean. The open kitchen design is great. The server was excellent. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We went with their recommendations on site. We started with the beef tar. The combination of tartaric acid and fresh bread was delicious. One of the best tartaric acid foods I had. Secondly, the wild mushroom and roasted potatoes were. Not a huge mushroom fan, but I have to say the dish was solid. A ton of fresh taste. Thirdly, we have the Canadian lobster Carbonara. Pasta was fresh, not excessively heavy. The taste was simple with which I was completely right. Then we have the 24 hours braided short ribs. Not a big short rib fan, but it was very satisfying. Something of a rich taste, but the crispy potato side dish filled the short rib perfectly. To dessert we ordered the dark chocolate cake and the lemon-marscapone cheesecake. The tar was very rich and dense, beautiful with the sea salt on the top. A little too rich, but if you love a chocolate dish, this is for you. The cheese cake was simple and slightly light. One of the better cheesecakes I had. Overall experience is definitely back. We love tapas and that was a great experience. The only thing I didn't love was the washrooms outside the restaurant, which are not maintained by the Passero staff, but the Forks market. I used the facilities once and it was something of a buzzkill. Couldn't get out of the washroom soon.
