Had the goji berry beef heroshima. Horrible and it was overpriced. Tasted like processed meat. Never again.
I started eating their heroshimas from the food cart that is out during the summertime in Winnipeg. I will admit when they opened their location at the Forks I was very excited. My favorite is the spicy mayo chicken heroshima. As I do not always want the bun, they will prepare it on a bed of lettuce for me. Their fries are crispy and delicious, topped with some of their spicy mayo sauce which is my favorite. I have also tried the chicken nachos which were loaded with goodness. I wish however that they would use all freshly grated cheese instead of a layer of orange nacho cheese. Be sure to say hi to Peter when he is there!
Visited the KYUl carts at venues around the city in the last 2 summers. Decided to try out KYU Grill at the Forks last weekend. Went 2 days in a row because it was so good. Had the bread pudding on the first visit and an okonomi dog the next day. Seems to be good value for what you get - bursting with flavour and is a unique addition to the Winnipeg food scene.
My friends and I stumbled on this and OhMyGodIs it amazingI had a pork belly dog and my friends tried the mango chickenThey're both so superb.
