We had our food delivered. It was 15 minutes earlier than anticipated. The price is super good, excellent value. Portion sizes are very good, on the bigger side. spent about $80 and got a few things free, stuff they just threw in which is perfectly fine with me, very appreciated. The food is super delicious, best I’ve had in a long time. It is now my favourite restaurant. View all feedback.
What Adrian Widmer doesn't like about Komodo Chinese Restaurant:
We were there early soya sauce, salt and peppers were dirty, Buffet food was greasy and tasteless. Wonton soup had no wontons as 2 customers had huge bowls of them yet they never replenished for other customers. Chicken wings were all red inside.Rice was so bland...saw about 4 small pieces of carrots. I told the girl she could care less. It seemed a number of the staff were arguing as they were all yelling for severa... View all feedback.
We were fairly loyal to a very popular restaurant in Southdale but we heard about Komodo from our friends and thought we’d try it. Are we ever glad we did. There is no comparison. Portions are much larger and tastier too. Service was excellent. Delivery was on time and included freebies of white rice, Pepsi and a calendar. Dried breaded pork is awesome as is chop suey and sweet and sour chicken balls. The sweet and sour sauce is not that weird red syrupy stuff but true sweet and sour. We have jumped ship over to Komodo. No brainer.
I try to support local businesses but these people make it impossible. I've given them lots of chances but now I'm done. Their wonton soup has one or two wontons swimming in some scary looking liquid taken from a black lagoon. Eating their tofu is like chewing on rubber. They have very little business but still managed to screw up my order. Then they refused to deliver me the right order even after I told them I had mobility issues and couldn't walk back there again.
I have ordered twice from this restaurant, food has been very tasty and hot, the chicken balls have a little too much breading but tasty non the less, the restaurant is hidden in a corner strip mall, had a hard time locating with gps but eventually I was successful, the restaurant is not fancy inside, just very simple. I will be ordering again in the future.

It seemed a number of the staff were arguing as they were all yelling for several minutes. Staff are not friendly. We will not be back unless new owners take over!
The plus...Friendly and quick service that will have me comming back. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. The minus...the decor desperately needs a facelift.
