It was a wonderful experience. We went in to try it for the first time. The menu was easy to understand. Many items to choose from. Meals were excellently presented. And the service was great (not overpowering or bothersome), showing up at opportune times. We will be returning and am excited to try something different View all feedback.

went by once to try this place and as soon as we walked in we noticed there were may be one or two people dining during dinner time(which is concerning). ordered nearly 120 dollars of food and all of them are far from what they are supposed to be. avoid this place even if its the last resort. Hubby and I are staying at the Canad Inn on the Pembina Hwy. and were looking for somewhere close by to have dinner this evening.Ended up at "Kiwa Korean restaurant." Within 20 min. of our arrival the restaurant had no empty tables. The menu is huge. We wish we lived closer so we could go back numerous times to work our way through it. The young couple beside us ordered a really nice BBQ Pork belly dish with rice and lettuce leaves to wrap it in. Another large table was having a feast and I wish I could have gone over and saw what they were eating! :)Hubby chose a pork and squid bulgogi and I had a chicken bulgogi. Both dishes are served with a big bowl of rice and three side dishes, kimchi (yummy and spicy), potatoes and a green vegetable? lathered in gochujang sauce which was very nice and fresh tasting. I found the chicken dish nice, but even better once I added some kimchi and the gochujang side dish as it added some nice heat to the plate. Hubby couldn't finish his entire plate of food so had some packed up to bring back to the Hotel. The service was courteous, pleasant and efficient. I enjoyed perusing a Korean cookbook that was set out along with other books and magazines for customers to look through. The bill for two was $34. It's a fun place.

A neighbouring eatery was way to full (no reservation) so we tried this place. Service was excellent and friendly even though we asked way to many questions due to having seldom eaten Korean food. Food was reasonably priced and delicious but my short ribs tasted the best in my opinion.
I came here really excited by the prospects of some amazing Korean food from the pictures posted by prior TripAdvisor reviewers, but right when I stepped into the store, I was overcome by the odor of wet shoes and cats. My sense eventually normalized to acclimate to the order, but it definitely knocked off 1 star for ambience. However, I would add back 1 star for the family-friendly ambience, since there seemed to be a few Korean families who frequented the place on a Sunday. The menu covered the basics of the Jigaes and the Bibimbaps, so my friend and I decided to order the seafood jigae and the beef dolsot bibimbap. The jigae could have used a bit more flavor, so I added the appetizer dishes to make things more interesting. My friend had no complaint about the bibimbap which was flavored well and served piping hot as expected. I docked off another 1/2 star for the underwhelming, but perfectly edible Korean food and another 1/2 star for the lack of variety in their appetizers. At the end of the day, this place delivered solidly average Korean food that filled my tummy well, at a decent price point, but I gave it 3 stars because it didn't quite hit the spot.
