we often stop at Joey's when in the K.P area. It has been consistantly good over the years. The light panko style batter on the fish is delicious. we enjoy the haddock best. The chicken is a good option too. nicely seasoned and tender. Fries are good too. the rice is ok, but some veg or more seasoning would make it a better side. This is a bright, clean restaurant, good food, friendly staff, and the service fast. View all feedback.
What Larry B doesn't like about Joey's Only Seafood Restaurant:
We saw signs for Joey's Seafood, but the restaurant was not easy to find. We drove up and down the street several times before we found it. The restaurant was very average. Not much fror atmosphere. The fish was OK, but nothing special. I wouldn't go back View all feedback.
No more all you can eat. But worse was the laughably tiny sized pieces of fish. Used to be excellent. It is NOT excellent anymore. Shut er down. It’s over.
We liked the food here, today we received a portion for our sweet potato fries with our meal and the extra we ordered that were smaller than usual. Called the restaurant and was told to bad, that's the size and nothing we're going to do. The manager on duty should learn how to take care of customer so you get return service after something goes wrong.
My dad has been going to this restaurant for years and has not been since they got new owners, figured we would try tonight. It was terrible from the moment we were seated. Our server wanted to be anywhere but there, she had the customer service skills of a child, which is none just to clarify. I ordered the sourdough lobster and shrimp sandwich and my dad ordered the fish and chips. My sandwich was burnt and basically contained cheese( not melted) and an onion and celery salad inside of it. If there was seafood in it it was such a minuscule amount it went unnoticed. My dads fish turned out alright but was served the equivalent of 6 fries. Whoever is expediting these orders needs to be retrained as no food should leave the kitchen burnt. Obviously I didn’t want to take my leftovers home which is fine seeing as the waitress just left the bill on the table without offering a container. All around rude and a waste of money experience. Will never go there again. It’s a shame the previous owners sold because the restaurant has tanked since then.
We have Joey 's fish and chips every few months. It 's close to home and normally, the food is fine. Tonight our server was terrible. She was a little short tempered when taking our order. We asked to add a shrimp appetizer and she said why, you only get 8-9 shrimp to share . 2 of 3 dinners came out quickly. About two minutes later she came by and took my mother 's plate away, with haste. Sorry, wrong fish . I waited a minute hoping the other two plates would come out. Finally, I took a bite of my fish. As she passed by again, I asked if my fish was halibut? Yes, it 's halibut for sure as if the question was insulting. I finished two pieces of fish before the other two dinners were served. It was at least 10 minutes. When the other dinners were served, another server brought me two pieces of halibut and said the fish I just had were not halibut, sorry. I get mistakes happen. If our original server had taken one minute to check, if she wasn 't over flowing with an edgy, cocky attitude, the order could have been verified. Too bad. Such simple plates of food for a lot of money and they could not get it right because of terrible service.
Ate here September 14, 2021. Was very surprised to hear that Joey 's only has discontinued the All you can eat Tuesdays . The fish was heavily breaded, way more batter than fish. Fries are still all you can eat. It was just ok.
