I enjoy tring a new place and this came with a recomendation and a caution. I was told they can be slow on the service side but worth the wait. With that in mind I went to the Henderson location and was promptly asked to wait a few minutes before placing my order as they were busy. JC's Tacos is a Central American gem. Based off southern Mexico and El Salvadorian cuisine, the flavors are dynamic and unique. The smell of the restaurant is off the charts and the atmosphere is true Latin America. They also sell Mexican food items at reasonable prices. The food is really good and the house made salsa is legit. All made fresh, while you wait and fully visible. If you like tacos, or loaded bowls, then this is the place. I'd call this place a tie for the best Mexican in Winnipeg w/ Sargent Taco Shop, with the disclaimer that both have completely different influences.Vegetarian options: Vegan options are availableKid-friendliness: Lots of candy for sale
Very nice place ! Love the decor, very friendly staff, it was my first time with my family. We all loved it and will definitely be back, they also sell homemade hot sauces and other things. Great place to go !
Every bite is filled with flavour, and the order comes with 4 different sauces, which you can add to your meal. The atmosphere is amazing. The music, the interior design, is everything you would expect from an authentic Mexican restaurant.JC is easily in my top 3 Mexican places.
All the food tasted great but the prices seem rather high. One of our party ordered the taco trio and wanted to know if they could substitute one of the trio out for a another that was the same price and they didn't tell us that it would be another dollar charge to do that, even though that would cost the exact same price as getting 3 of the more expensive tacos..The hot sauces they provide are not great and are not hot in any way.Staff was very frantic to run around and fulfill orders.(Steer clear of the Sayulita brand hot sauces they are selling on clearance. Beyond bad hot sauces)Nice authentic atmosphere.
Today we went for dinner exploring Winnipeg. Their website was very classy making you think they serve gourmet food. However the restaurant was nothing like the website and the tacos Al pastor were nothing like the picture. Disappointing experience.
