What Lee M doesn't like about James Ave Pumphouse Food Drink:
Nice place, great location, staff are very friendly. Food was great but didn’t wow us. They are very knowledgeable about gluten sensitivities which is a bonus. This really is a personal issue as eating out for a family of 4 is costing $140 and 3 of us just drank water. I understand things are expensive, dinning out as a family is impossible anymore. This really is a personal issue as eating out for a family of 4 is costing $140 and 3 of us just drank water. I understand things are expensive, dinning out as a family is impossible anymore. Great for singles or couples but restaurants need to try and attract families to restaurants somehow to not alienate a specific group of people. I would definitely go back with friends. It's a nice place in a great neighbourhood. Don't forget to walk around before or after you enjoy a great time at the Pumphouse. The food is exciting and delicious. Double Double and crispy chicken were both plentiful and tasty. The drinks are a bit pricy, but it is worth it, especially if you choose a good bottle of wine. The atmosphere is excellent as you find yourself in an old factory and it is very creative and different. Service: Dine in
Great experience, 1st time at the restaurant. Even though they messed up our reservation because of a system issue they accommodate us and offer us 6 free starters at our table. We were a group of 18 people! Service was really good! Food and orders were quick to received. Food tasted so flavorful, loved the crispy tofu and prawns. Definitely a restaurant that I would suggest, the ambiance is excellent and inside an old pumping station. Cool to see the old installation! : Super accessible for wheelchair users. Lower mirror in restrooms is awesome! And push button at the door of each restroom and entrance. Wheelchair accessibility: : Super accessible for wheelchair users! Long mirror in restrooms is include which is nice to be able to see yourself and push button for doors.
We got tacos as part of taco week and they were phenomenal! Since then I've returned a few times with various groups and every time it has been great, everybody was happy with their orders! Service is good and fast, and the portions are very large compared to similar places. Vegetarian options: They have a vegan gluten-free menu and also asked about allergies before taking orders. Service: Dine in
Pretty chill place for a night or afternoon out. We went on Mother's Day weekend so we were only able to stay 2 hours because we didn't book in advance. The service, food, and drinks were great. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$50–60 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
