Stopped by for a couple of bagels and coffee around 10 o'clock. The coffee was good the waitress friendly and fast with the refills. Unless things have changed from a few years back this is also a great place to go for lunch. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about IRA s DELI:
With an office in the area, this restaurant tends to be a default for our business meetings and catering for our small office lunch meetings. I've tried a few different sandwiches and soups over the past year or so and am actively steering meetings away from here now. The sandwiches are quite basic and the soups are uninspired! And everything seems overpriced given what you get. The cookies are decent but on the whol... View all feedback.
I tried to have a day date. Secured babysitter, paid for parking went one and workers only stared still. The restaurant is probably just catering. Not sure whether that is permanent or not. Don't take out/don't eat.
IRA'S DELI (204-949-1116) spent weeks in Winnipeg trying to find us a place for reception after my mother's funeral. After it became obvious that we were out of time and options, he helped us to book with his top competitor to ensure that we needed the event we needed. This is a truly merciful act, especially after COVID and the necessary business. I hope you will all support the business of such a fine person. Thanks Ira!!! I will book my next event with you. I just heard amazing things about your food from friends that you used before for their lunch and catering.
Needed a place for a local morning breakfast and this place hit the mark. Had a bagel and egg sandwich which was filling and well prepared. Liked the salsa with the SW egg sandwich.
I went with my friend here for lunch for our first time! Right from the start we were greeted with smiling friendly faces. The ambiance is lovely with red checkered tablecloths making the area very warm and cozy. Our server was great even offering to take a picture for us. Ira himself came to our table to answer questions about catering as I heard such rave reviews of Ira`s catering. He was so nice. Never has any restaurant treated us so well. The food was delicious....the New York reuben was so big we resorted to using a knife and fork, The pastrami and egg sanwiches were wonderful along with the best potato salad/coleslaw. I definitely recommend this diner as they aim to please. This restaurant is a definite winner.
The restaurant is in a basement of a building with an almost unmarked door. It has bare bones old decor/furniture. The soup and sandwiches my friend and I had were terrible. For what we ordered and the quality, it was over priced.
