I tried the sage creek roll that previously got rave reviews and was not disappointed. The other rolls were pretty good too. Edamame beans were overcooked. Service was a bit slow even though we showed up right after the place opened for lunch and were the only customers there for a while. View all feedback.
What Florence McDermott doesn't like about Hiro Sushi:
Probably the worst sushi place in the South end. They don't answer the phone - had to come in to order. While I was there the phone rang non-stop and no one bothered to answer, and yes, they had free staff but just decided to ignore the phone. Waiting time - when ordered a pick-up I was told the waiting time is about an hour (really?). Came back after 1h 15m and had to wait for another 40 minutes for my order.Rolls -... View all feedback.
Rating this as a college bar not a fine dining establishment (actually I don't think I have ever sat at a table -not that kind of place).
Went there once with a friend that insisted on goingThe bathrooms are gross (no toilet paper and trash everywhere on the floor).
I'm writing this review over 2 years after I graduated from Tech.
I can not say enough about how good the sushi is here. The volcano roll is something I find myself craving far too often. Everything my boyfriend and I visit we are treated so well and the food is fresh and delicious. Reading the few...More
