Fergies Fish N Chips - Winnipeg

This fish and chips dish is decent but not outstanding. I ordered the single meal that came with chowder and fries. The chowder is more of a fish and shrimp stew; it tastes good, but it doesn't quite qualify as a traditional chowder. The pickerel was on the smaller side, but it was tasty. The fries were enjoyable too. I would gladly give up two-thirds of the fries for a larger piece of fish. (Fish not shown in the photo.)

This has become my favorite spot for fish and chips! The fish was expertly fried to perfection—light and airy without being greasy. The tartar sauce was delicious as well. The fries were just right, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I highly recommend this place; I can't believe I waited so long to try it! If only they had some healthier options, though... As for parking, there's plenty available, and at $2 per hour, it’s quite reasonable.

I recently had the best fish and chips I've ever tasted, second only to those in Britain. They did an excellent job! I ordered online, and I was concerned that the food might arrive soggy, but that was absolutely not the case. The fries were fresh and you could tell they were cut on-site. The fish was flaky and tender with a perfectly crispy coating. It was delicious! – Debbie Lewis.

Great location at the forks. Delicious fries and perfectly crispy fish served up with fresh lemon slices and tartar sauce. Really fair prices make this a must visit restaurant.

This is for the polo park fergies, not the forks. March 05/23 I purchased reg cod and chips, reg halibut and chips $40. I trusted the order and did not look until I got home. The 2 pieces of cod one looked like a regular portion 2nd piece was like a fish chunk looked like a mcnugget. the halibut was saturated with grease, obviously the cooking oil was not hot enough, more breading than fish. the fries were bits and pieces of potato. Not impressed , not going back to this location.
