What Jonathan Gurvey likes about Famena Famous Roti & Curry:
One of the best restaurants in Winnipeg. I absolutely love this place- the roti is full of flavor, and can be as spicy as you want it. Mohammed and Famena are genuine, salt of the earth people who are always dependable for a great conversation. I hope this spot sticks around forever, I don't know what I'd do without it. Some guests were disappointed by the cleanliness of the place and the quality of the food, experiencing stomach issues and concerns about sanitation. However, others found the food to be delicious and soulful, praising the owners' dedication and friendly service. Despite some negative aspects mentioned, many visitors enjoyed the large and flavorful rotis, recognizing Famena's as a great hole-in-the-wall find with a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, while there are concerns about cleanliness, the food itself seems to be worth a try for those interested in authentic Guyanese cuisine.
