I had the delivery to my hotel during the quarantine from this restaurant and the market salad was one of the best salads I ever had. the grilled chicken was tender, not cooked, and perfectly seasoned. each element in the salad was delicious; greens fresh, avocado exactly right, green grapes a super addition, sunflower seeds slightly salted, the green goddess dressing (which I normally don't like) was also delicious!... What Jarred Nolan doesn't like about Capital Grill:
A couple members of our group of 5 had heard great things about Capital Grill. The staff was friendly and most of our meals were great. But of note, the Caesar salad was terrible with a weak, bland dressing that was disappointing to the point of not finishing it. As well, the service was not very attentive as we would have ordered more drinks but had no one come by the table for long stretches of time. View all feedback.
Via the road from Fort Garry Hotel, seven minutes walk from the forks. Had the BBQ Chicken Club with frits, paired with little brown jug 1919 5/5. The chicken was juicy and tasteful. Bacon was crispy and they nailed the bread; the right amount of grill to them. Fries were delicious, the Dill was a nice touch. Sat outside on the terrace today, great mood with excellent service.
Held a special event at Capital and it could not have gone better. The menu they came up with was amazing, the service was professional and pleasant. All around great experience! Regual dinner visits are awesome too!
Roasted Cauliflower Soup 5/5 Creamy and great flavor, food start to the meal Salmon with veggies 4/5 The salmon by itself was alright but the tomato puree was a nice addition to the dish. The sauce really tied everything together. The carrots were also really nice and sweet. Pesto bacon and corn pizza 3.5/5 Toppings were alright, dough was flat and a bit fluffy. Pesto was good, but overall, this was nothing special. Steak salad 5/5 Vinagraitte dressing. Steak was cooked perfectly (medium), and the asparagus added a nice roasted flavor to the salad. Sticky toffee pudding (forgot to take a picture) 5/5 Delicious. The ambience was nice in the restaurant, string lights turned on across the ceiling. The staff was very pleasant and quick to serve us. Great service.
I?m just going to start by saying the capital burger is one of my top fav burgers in Winnipeg for sure! I decided to recommend this venue for some drinks and bites before an event with co workers, it was a hit! Everyone enjoyed their meals! (Pizza, wings, crabcakes, etc) This time around I tried the pulled pork slaw! With the truffle fries! Everything was great as usual. The staff is friendly, service is good. The decor is so cute! This place should definitely be added to your burger bucket list!
Very nice little place. Not a very big restaurant but all the staff were super friendly and genuine. The atmosphere was very inviting and the meal we chose was very tasty. Would go back for sure.
