What User doesn't like about Café Lemontree:
This used to be one of my favorite local spots. I'm not sure what changed—maybe the owners did in the past year? The food lacked balance and seemed poorly put together. The salmon was undercooked. To make matters worse, they asked a group of six for a 15% tip in advance. We typically leave a 20% tip, but being asked for a set amount upfront—especially for such a small group—really put us off. I'm quite disappointed a... View all feedback.
I review things systematically based off of food quality, price, service, cleanliness, atmosphere. If you are picky about tap water I would suggest not getting water here as all I could taste was the metallic taste of the pipes. I could not drink it and my boyfriend who is not picky about water at all also said he disliked it and only drank it due to thirst.Food: 2/5 I am a big fan of rice cake dishes and I cannot say I enjoyed the one I had here. The price is high but you are served a big portion. However, i have had this dish before served to me for half the price and twice the quality at a different restaurant. I had the Korean BBQ panini before as well and I remember it being very dry. We had yam tempura which arrived undercooked and without tempura sauce. They were able to cook them for a longer amount of time and they were much more enjoyable afterwards. I added cheese to a dish which cost 5$ extra which seems kind of outrageous considering I could buy an entire block of cheese for that price. The rice cake dish was very soupy so the cheese disintegrated and was unable to add to the dish unfortunately. The flavour is good I just wish the cheese could have stayed in tact more. The waitress was great she checked on us and was able to get the tempura redone for us and was overall able to price 5/5 service. The atmosphere 5/5 is nice and quiet with light music and beautiful decoration. However, not very many people were there on each occasion I visited this restaurant. (This was my third time)The restaurant appeared very clean, the tables are very sticky but it cannot be helped as sanitizer sometimes has this effect. The women’s bathroom was very clean. 5/5 cleanlinessOverall a 3/5 I believe this place is overpriced. However most of their points were obtained through the waitresses good service and cleanliness of restaurant. Food is the reason to go to a restaurant and I will not return to this restaurant for food again so -1 star2/5 get a water filter.
If you want an authentic Korean dishes in a more exquisite way, this is the place to be! They do have a wide selection in their menu, but expect that their prices are more, than other Korean restaurants we have in the city. Their food was well prepared and tastes appetizing. We ordered, of course my all time favourite Takoyaki which for me is (5/5). Gyoza Tempura which were perfectly deep fried, but the sauce I feel needs more enticing flavours (3/5). Okonomiyaki was phenomenal, so (5/5). Dak-Galbi was an ok dish although I find it too pricey for its value, (3/5). Original Honey Bread was huge and simply tastes good (4/5).The place though needs more lighting and an interior update. No trouble parking.Service here was efficient and pleasant, which for me is very important. My experience in total was warm and lovely! So, this place is definitely a gem to keep. ?
What a cute and cozy little cafe! Enjoyed my first visit of many I’m sure to have in the future. Amazing food, drinks and desserts, great service, and unique environment. Have and will continue to recommend to my friends!
WOW! I am surprised at how this restaurant may be underrated or perhaps under the radar. The food was very delicious and authentic Korean cuisine, the service was exceptional and the ambience was comfortable and friendly. I highly recommend it! Go check it outParking: Very convenient and stress-free
An interesting little place that is a bit confused as far as the decor goes but the food quality is outstanding so keep your eyes on your meal and ignore the confusion of collectables and nik naks. A lovely menu of a surprising number of offerings and, from what we sampled, I expect all may be equally exceptional. Our table had Beef Bulgogi and Spicy Korean BBQ Skillets. I had the spicy pork and was surprised at the taste. It was full of flavor and so good. It's called spicy but it's only slightly so and all the flavours of the noodles and veggies could be easily discovered as they were not shouted down by too much spice. The dish came with french fries which was a bit of a surprise. And then a double surprise when it was discovered that these fries are the best in town. The menu goes on for several pages so there will certainly be quite a few more visits to see if the other pages offer the same high level dishes. The service is very friendly and responsive. We were here for lunch and it was all handled quite professionally.
