Talk about a wild swing from some aspects being excellent to some highly ineffective service.

Excellent service and I would go again, but I can't recommend the flatbread pizza.

Large portions Had the soup of the day to start Good atmosphereGood for groups Had the Buffalo chicken salad and it was tasty and huge.

Went after a massage. What a treat. Had the bacon wrapped shrimp and a salad. Both were great. Taste very good.

Talk about a wild swing from some aspects being excellent to some highly ineffective service. We were a group of six and managed to get a nice big booth to accommodate our group. The service started out fast and very friendly although we did have to flag down another staff member to get the kids menu which was an indicator of things to come (or not as the case may be) We placed our orders and then things went downhill.The food arrived but they were missing the meal off the Wee One's Menu as well as the drink. After 5 minutes we were able to flag down our waitress and she finally put the order in (our detective work on that one). We were surprised they didn't offer a little something for the 'wee one' to snack on while waiting. Oh well. The plate arrived about 10 minutes laterThe pickerel by all accounts was excellent. Flavourful and the mashed potatoes were very tasty. The Island flat bread pizza was 'okay' but the crust was very difficult to cut through. The Chicken Cordon Swiss was a complete miss. Bland, oh so bland. Plus, it was smothered with a tasteless cream sauce. The veggies were nice but the fries were over-cooked and crunchy. Too bad no one dropped by to see how we were doing, that would have also given them the opportunity to bring some water to fill up the five empty water glasses. They did bring out little pieces of maple fudge with the bill, which was nice, but the server struggled to find a place on the table. Call me old fashioned but here's a thought: clear away all the dirty dishes!So excellent pickerel but the rest was pretty weak. The service, while friendly, was not very good, although the server was very cordial and helpful when I pointed out there was a $30 charge for a plate of ribs that no one had ordered (she corrected it quickly).They claim to be a casual fine dinning restaurant. Based on what we experienced that is being very presumptuous.
