A&W - Winnipeg

This place is always great for the teen burgers and onion rings plus a mug of root beer. The staff are ok . When I was younger it was always the whistle dog.

Not so long ago I visited the A&W restaurant on Henderson Hwy. My friend and myself decided to have our lunch there. I was going especially for the deep fried onion rings which I had been told were very good. They did not disappoint. The fries were average and the chicken burger I have to say was quite juicy and tender. The root beer was a good size considering I ordered small. Now their apple pie /fritter was the star of the meal so delicious. All and all a very nice experience for a fast meal, the service was fast and the food was hot when received, the servers were very friendly and helpful their uniforms were clean and neat.The restaurant was clean and inviting.Price wise good especially if you used the coupons. Lots of parking . They also have a drive through for pickups and ordering.

We had received coupons for A&W and decided to try their breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised. Food was good, coffee cups were large and service was quick.

Have gone to this particular A&W several times just to try to give it a fair assessment, but it is constantly bad. The service is not friendly and the food is just terrible. On one visit my cheese'n egger had pieces of eggshell in it - aghh! Last month went there for lunch. My burger meat had such an unappealing smell that I thought the meat must have been bad. If it hadn't been for the fact that we went through the drive-thru I would have returned it for a refund. Find another place to eat if you are looking for fast food.

We eat here for an occasional treat. We swear this outlet does it better than others we have tried. The onion rings are crunchier and the burgers fantastic. We enjoy the Various specialty burgers they offer and have never been disappointed. This is the only burger chain that we enjoy and does not upset our stomachs like all the others do, exception, Dairy Queen. Highly recommend .
