My kids introduced me to sushi when they studied it in elementary school. It took a bit of cajoling but I finally tried it. Then, my son and I went to Asoyama and we tried one of every roll on the menu that seemed to interest us before we had one we liked a second time. I've been to many sushi restaurants since but I keep comparing them to Asoyama. This one (as I've been to the other one for take out and it wasn't as... View all feedback.
What Cristal Sauer doesn't like about Asoyama Sushi:
Ordered delivery through Skip. Worst sushi I have ever had. The salmon skin in our bc roll was very burnt and had an awful texture. The rice was falling off the rolls. The fish egg roll had very little fish eggs; looking at the top of the roll, you could see more rice then eggs. The raw salmon in our roll looked like it had been put through a meat grinder; it was literally MUSH. We had to throw out most of the meal. View all feedback.
Visited on a weekend and waited an hour for our order. Restaurant wasn't full or busy. Sushi had hardly any fish or filling and was mostly rice.
This rating is solely based on service. I've attempted to give this place a few chances because the sushi and food is good. The lunch Bento Boxes are a good price; $13 3 rolls, salad, miso soup and 2 gyoza. Rolls I've had have been good tasting. Would return however; the wait for the food is not worth it. Last experience we were the only customers in the restaurant. The wait was incredibly long.

We both love sushi. This is one of the better places in Winnipeg. And we have tried many. Service was very good. And all ingredients were fresh and tasty.
