I've never been here before, but I really liked it. Very low key vibe and lots of comfy chairs where you can relax for a bit. Even has a game corner, which I thought was great. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Joe Black Coffee:
Service was good but my oatmilk mocha was terrible. I don't know if there just wasn't chocolate or I couldn't taste it over the very acidic espresso. Judging by the other reviews I imagine they just didn't check the draw on the espresso today. Not a great start to a 7hour drive today View all feedback.
The service was good, but my oat milk mocha was disappointing. I couldn’t tell if there was any chocolate in it or if the very acidic espresso overpowered the flavor. Based on other reviews, I suspect they might not have checked the espresso’s extraction today. It wasn't the best start to my 7-hour drive.
I had never visited this place before, but I really enjoyed my experience. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and there are plenty of comfy chairs to sit back and unwind. I also loved the game corner—it was a nice touch!
Today, I used my $20 Groupon at Joe Black Coffee and ended up spending even more—not because it's pricey, but because the food is incredible. They offer an excellent selection of sandwiches and breakfast items, along with delicious pastries and impressive vegan and gluten-free choices. I tried the Butter Chicken Naan Wrap, and it was exceptional! It’s a healthy, well-portioned take on a classic Indian dish with a tomato-based twist. WOW, what wonderful food!
I had the chipotle chicken sandwich along with a house salad, while my friend opted for the chicken bacon sandwich and Caesar salad. The food was simple yet fresh, which was just what we needed on a hot day when we wanted to avoid anything greasy or heavy. My salad came with the dressing on the side, allowing me to customize it to my liking. However, my friend found her Caesar salad a bit overdressed, but overall, we enjoyed our meals. The pleasant atmosphere and friendly service definitely made up for the slight issue with the salad. I will definitely stop by again!
Delicious gluten-free options! I visited for dinner and was pleased to find a variety of gluten-free choices available. It's quite rare in Winnipeg to come across gluten-free bread, wraps, and cinnamon buns. The coffee was fantastic; I prefer it black, and it did not disappoint. I had the Hawaiian panini along with a salad, which was great!
