Subway
Description
A sandwich spot praised for tasty food and reliable takeout, but uneven service dampens the experience. Diners report quick, accurate orders at times and an inviting takeout atmosphere, while others note long waits, missing paid items, wrong bread and uncomfortable staff interactions during on-the-job training. Food quality often shines, yet visitors should check orders before leaving and expect inconsistent frontline service.

Deb is amazing and always has good customer service. But my food was horrible. Nothing in her power that she could have changed.

We stopped to eat on our way home from Terry Peak. I waited at the counter for a while before someone acknowledged me, and when Judy finally did, she didn't ask for my order. Instead, she rudely prepared my sandwich and rolled her eyes at my husband’s order. The other staff members seemed fine, but they appeared hesitant to engage with customers due to Judy's presence. She was rude to a couple of other patrons but was overly friendly to someone who seemed to be a regular. I would not recommend this Subway, especially for visitors.
However, my initial experience there was quite disappointing. On my first visit, the woman taking orders, who seemed to have been there for a while and was training someone new, had a very unfriendly demeanor. Her tone was rude as she took my order. Even after I clearly requested the pasta with an additional side, it felt as if she was arguing with me about my choice. She eventually started preparing my order but paused to reprimand the trainee in the middle of it, which I found incredibly unprofessional. If this is how she trains her colleagues, it’s no wonder they struggle to keep employees. When she finally finished my order, she never offered a smile or a kind word; I felt like an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. I decided to give it another try about a week later, hoping for a better experience. This time the trainee was making the dishes while the same woman was at the register. Unfortunately, I witnessed her berating the trainee again, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. After experiencing such unprofessional behavior twice, I’ve decided that no matter how good the food is, I won't be returning.
