This place needs more servers and a bigger dining room .bought the 14.99 fish dinner for 2 . Would of liked coleslaw, hushpuppys ,even greenbeand on the plate. The servers were very busy .did a good job. Got better amount offood else where for 14.99 ..they next Friday dinner outing.

They only had 1 server for the dining room and carry out. It took 3 hours to get lunch. Drink refills were extreamly slow. Our drinks were empty most of the time. When i asked for a pitcher of water for the table I was told shewasnt allowed to leave pitchers on the tables. I ordered the Ruben. It had almost no sour kraut on it, but it was a good cornbeef sandwich.

I had the daily special, w... read more I've visited this restaurant multiple times, and each experience has been fantastic. I even made the trip from Troy just to eat here. I had the daily special, which was Red Beans and Rice (resembling jambalaya), and it was both flavorful and fulfilling.

The staff seem more focused on their own lives and conversation... read more The bar has a very unassuming vibe, and it often feels like customers blend into the background. The staff seem more focused on their own lives and conversations, offering only minimal attention to patrons. Despite this, I've been a regular here for years, so I've become used to the atmosphere. The few people who do stop by tend to be friendly, simply looking for some company and a touch of recognition in the lives of others. I suspect, though I'm not entirely sure, that the restaurant is what keeps the bar going, as it often attracts a decent crowd. I have a sense of sympathy for the owner, who usually sits at the end of the bar, drinking and smoking continuously, appearing quite detached. Nonetheless, I admire him for doing what he needs to survive.
