Chanoso's Restaurant - Windsor

I am sad to see this restaurant closing. Going to miss the spicy calamari and avacado egg rolls! Wishing the owners good luck in their future endeavours!!

A well situated restaurant downtown Windsor. Good food inside and out. SUPER stir fry!!!! Nice staff.

The chicken stir fry with apple teriyaki was amazing! Very good service and cool location. The value is good for what you recieve.

I have been going to Chanosos for over 15 year. It was my wife and I favourite restaurant in the city. However our last visit was not good at all. Here's why...-Bread no sliced small-We ordered mostly apps and took a long time and place was almost empty.-Avocado wraps barely had any stuff on them.-Sushi looked oversized and not dainty- Had Cesar salad (house since named after place), romaine was soggy and the coconut chips tasted like bacon (i am a vegetarian and it ruin my meal. They told me that there was not any bacon in it but made my stomach turn.-Everything took a long time for having mostly Apps and simple noodle bowl with no veggies.I don't think we will be going back. Very sad day for our favourite restaurant.

My boyfriend and I went here last night for my birthday dinner. The restaurant was very very loud, the tables are very close together, the windows open to the street and the smell of cigarettes and cigars come through the window, not very appetizing, plus it was chilly. We ordered the chanoso's style sangria and it was really bad, syrupy, very little ice and you could barely taste the wine, we ordered fresh bread as an appetizer and it was so so so soooo good! The dip was fantastic! I ordered thai one on and he ordered butter chicken, mine was okay, it wasn't sweet like other pad thais I've had and the shrimp tasted a little too fishy, it basically just tasted like it was flavoured with soy sauce, which isn't bad but also nothing special, I also didn't like the noodles they were thick and really wide more like egg noodles than rice noodles. My boyfriends food was good, he didn't like it but I did. Our server was very nice but the overall experience was sub par we likely will not be coming back.
