The prices ar... read more How are we, two lazy people who hate to cook, supposed to come home after a 12 hour day and cook supper when Bubba Ray's is only two minutes away? The prices are good, especially the daily special, the service is excellent, and the food... YUM! Between my husband and I we have tried many things on the menu and we haven't found anything yet we did not like. Actually, I lie... I did not enjoy the mash potatoes that came with the roast pork dinner special one night... although, the sauce the came with the pork was delicious and I dipped my potatoes in it. Here are a few of my favourite meals:Mega wings - a good sized breaded wing and very tasty. I pair this with the honey awesome sauce (they have an unbelievable number of sauces to choose from). You can get these in a 1/2 lb option too to pair with another menu item, and I love this option. Hot spinach dip - this comes with pita triangles and dipping corn (i think they are) chips. Either way, it is beyond delicious and I usually order this with the mega wings. Seafood chowder - I was so very hesitant to try this... I am from a long line of fisherman and my Mom made the best fish chowder. I normally won't order this anywhere; however, having enjoyed so many other items on the menu I gave it a try... and now, I can't wait to have it again. It was so very tasty with just the perfect thickness. It was a tiny bit "fishy" tasting, but I know that was the fish and not the cook and it certainly wasn't enough to keep me from having it again! Fish & chips - We have had this meal in many places and although they aren't quite as good as my number one place for fish and chips, it is a good second favourite, and my Hubby's favourite. The fish is fresh and I enjoy the taste of the batter. Fries are fries so I never bother talking about those... but if you want to pair this with something wonderful, try their beer battered fries... YUM!I could go on, but you get the picture... :)

Service was great and food was very good (I had the mushroom Swiss burger with sweet potato fries and hubby had nachos). Restaurant was clean and so were bathrooms. There aren't a lot of good drop-in-grab-burger-and-beer restaurants around here so this is a pleasant addition. Hope they stick around!
