What Βρυώνης Γεράσιμου doesn't like about Basil Court Restaurant:
Two veterans of Windsor took me to this hole in the wall restaurant...and told me that it had been there for more than 25 years and had hardly adjusted prices in all that time. View all feedback.
The food is fantastic and affordable. However, the service tends to slow down significantly when the restaurant gets busy.
I had an amazing lunch at this restaurant. The service wasn't the best, but I knew not to expect top-notch service. The staff was friendly, but a little slow. The lunch plates were incredibly affordable and delicious. I tried the basil chicken with rice, peanut chicken with carrots, potatoes, and rice, lemongrass chicken, and chicken curry with vegetables and rice. All of these dishes were only about $6 each including tax. Highly recommend trying them!
Chicken Pad Thai is always delicious!! Have been eating here since I moved to Windsor. Not a good thing to have everyday but it's great every once and a while.
What you'd expect, great food but mediocre environment. Title says it all. The food is very good (Recommend the vegetable pad thai with tofu) The establishment itself could use some work, though it didn't bother me, I have heard many complaints about it.
So after trying really good Thai food in Toronto, I went on a mission to see if I could find some in my hometown of Windsor, a city that's not known for doing any type of Asian food well. This led me to Basil Court.<br/ <br/ It's a little hidden spot in downtown Windsor and is definitely bigger than most people would expect. Service was friendly and willing to get address problems quickly, even when more people started to arrive and only one waitress was on staff.<br/ <br/ Now for the food. I had something simple: a mild yellow curry. It came out looking more green than I expected, and had a lot more powerful spice for something considered mild. The end result was still good with hefty chucks of chicken, potatoes and carrots in a rich sauce that coated everything in sight. I would go back to Basil Court because they did impress me, but it doesn't impress me enough to make it my favourite Thai place
