Tudor Stores - Windsor and Maidenhead

Located on Eton High Street, this cozy cafe is the first on the left after Baldwin's Shore. Originally a grocery store established in 1799, it now caters to the boys of Eton College during term times and serves tourists and walkers alike. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the man behind the counter and treated to delicious Lavazza coffee and refreshing iced coffee frappes. The menu offers a variety of quirky snacks, including American treats like popcorn, Hershey bars, and Reeses, as well as classic options like burgers and hot dogs. The cafe features air conditioning, simple decor, and great drinks, making it a wonderful alternative to larger chains like Costa. We recommend focusing on providing good quality, locally sourced British fare at reasonable prices and suggest removing some of the overly flashy window decals to attract more customers.

I visited this cafe with a friend after a stroll along the Thames from Windsor, and we were pleasantly surprised. The owner was welcoming, and we both decided on a chicken pesto and mozzarella panini with coffee based on the tempting picture outside. When our order arrived just 10 minutes later, we were even more impressed. The panini was hot, freshly made, and generously filled with chicken and cheese. We both agreed it was the best panini we had ever tasted, and we've tried quite a few during our walks. The prices were also very reasonable for the area. Despite the cafe's American theme, which seemed out of place with the name, historic building, and surroundings, families with children will enjoy the milkshakes, sweets, popcorn, and ice cream on offer. I highly recommend stopping by this cafe.

This small cafe is absolutely fabulous. It resembles a miniature American diner, complete with retro sweets and American chocolate. The sandwiches are traditional and made with fresh ingredients. The hotdogs are fantastic (my partner can't get enough of them). They also offer chicken burgers and paninis. The coffee is some of the best on the high street. The milkshakes are a standout and the cafe is known for them. The atmosphere is very friendly and the owner is charming.

Recently changed the name to Tudors high street Eton. Excellent venue for snacks after a visit to the town. Good seating and the coffee was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming
