We had a pleasant dinner at this restaurant. The food was beautifully presented and the staff was friendly. They had a large selection of wine, including some from their own vineyard. The only downside was that there were only around five tables, so there was a lack of atmosphere. The meal felt a bit rushed for my liking as I prefer to take my time with high-quality meals, but they did provide small intermediate cour... View all feedback.

A very nice concise menu, good eating and excellent service. a very nice evening with business colleagues would recommend.
We have arrived without a booking and the staff was very accommodating. service was great and eating was delicious would definitely come back when we were in the opposite.
Walked in early evening and were told that no tables were available the restaurant was empty. We left, but then checked the online booking system which showed plenty of availability. We booked online and walked back to the restaurant and said we 'd booked online...even though they said they were full. The staff looked flustered and said they 'd find us a table. We ordered drinks but only one came to the table, because they 'd run out. The food itself was very average and the whole experience lacklustre. Going to Gilbey 's used to be a real 'experience ', and staff service and food were exceptional. Sadly that has all gone. Gilbey 's used to be the Jewel of Eton, but I 'd no longer recommend going here. So sad.
We went as a large group (18) for a celebration. We had one person waiting on us so everything was exceptionally slow. The restaurant realised 45 mins after taking our order that they had given us the wrong menu so many of us had to...re order. The food was ‘ok’ but pretty pricey for what it was. Overall it was the service which was a huge issue. We arrived at 6 and didn’t eat our mains until 8.30!!
Been living in Windsor for 12 years. Been to gilbeys every year and was my favourite restaurant mainly for one reason. Consistency. But it is now unrecognisable. The food is mediocre, serivice is rushed and there seems an aurora of arrogance about it all. We...notified them that it was our 10 years Anniversary to then be totally ignored is just not good enough. In the simplest form all personality which used to be so charming has been removed. I fear for its future if this is the new way to treat customers..
