4th time we've been here and, as always, never disappoints. Food was absolutely gorgeous, although spicier than expected! ? 2 lovely waitresses served us. Cant recommend this place enough. View all feedback.
What Paul Johansing doesn't like about Bluegrass Bbq:
We had to send our food back because the chicken was very pink! All the food was luke warm, we had them take it off of the bill! The service was soo poor, we had to call the waitress over to order after waiting over half hour , people were leaving because they weren't even spoken to after being seated! This was hands down the worst place I've ever taken my family out to eat!! DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY THERE... View all feedback.
Having been to this branch a fair few times, on this occasion it was rather disappointing. The main meal was lovely. My partner and I both enjoyed that. I had the chicken waffles. He has the pit boss with chilli fries. The dessert (brownies ice cream), was not the perfect ending. The brownies were lovely but the ice cream was bland. There was no flavour to it. I had to check the menu again to ensure I hadn't accidentally agreed to a non dairy option, but there was no such indications. My partners beer was lovely. My cream soda was not. They've changed brands and the new A W is not as nice. The service is normally very good. However, there were only 2 wait staff it seemed and both seemed very inexperienced. They were sweet people but they both came across as quite unsure of themselves. I felt there should've been more staff or someone more senior available. This is the only time we have had a not completely positive experience at Bluegrass. It won't put us off going again, but it will make us a touch weary.
Empty restaurant, put upstairs in a side window corner. 1 hr later came down and all tables and chairs in lower restaurant were stacked. Won't attract people in if only customers are upstairs out of way and not on view to others.
It wasn't great. Portion size has shrunk considerably since our last visit yet the price remains (we got the £50 sharing platter). Food arrived lukewarm and the pulled pork was dry. It was very lackluster compared to our previous visit which was a very positive experience. The desert was strange, ice cream was rather a strange consistency. Unfortunately I would not be visiting again.
We choose bluegrass for its gluten free options. Which we enjoyed in the past, one option being the ribs. My wife was very disappointed to find the ribs were no longer gluten free. You expect restaurant to be adding gluten free options, not removing them.
American visitor here! Food was passable. Carolina sauce had a bit too much vinegar. Pulled pork was a little dry. Lack of garlic bread was disappointing. Overall however, was pleasantly surprised to find this place and we would very likely return for a little taste of home!
