Very scary cellar stairs which open right behind the bar, wouldn't want that trap door to be left open but impressive drop.

The staff were friendly and very helpful rearranging things to seat 6 of us. The homemade meat and ale pie was excellent. Great gravy as well.

From t... read more I was a bit apprehensive having read some of the negative reviews on this pub but it came highly recommended by my sister's boss and he is usually right. From the minute we arrived, we were made to feel welcome even down to finding me a fan as I was melting in the warmth of the place. The food was delicious, probably the best roast dinner we have had in a long time. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food came quickly and hot! I had the roast chicken which was so tender and the gravy was lovely! I really don't know why anyone woud have a bad word to say about this place because we had no complaints at all. We will definitely be back!

Delicious fresh vegetables, perfect Roast potatoes and enormous yorkshire pud. One of us had Roast chicken more than half a whole chicken, again on the bone. It was sooo tasty. Mango and passion fruit cheesecake was delicious, topped off by coffee. The staff were wonderful, it was very economical, , especially for Windsor.

The halloumi fries were delicious and of course, the sticky toffee pudding was perfect. The service was above and beyond and we wish we could describe how great of a time we had.
