Was SNK En M at Don Beni a mag?
Living in Hertfordshire but going to an event at Ascot we wanted lunch first. What a truly great find. A warm welcome, superb food and a lovely atmosphere even on a quiet Saturday afternoon. Probably the best seafood pasta I've ever eaten! Thoroughly recommend and wish we lived nearer! Thank you! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 View all feedback.

What Jerry C dislikes about Don Beni:
Everything was fine when we arrived, the restaurant itself is quaint. Outside of that, the restaurant staff was pretty uncaring, and were very un charming and disinterested. The food was mediocre, far from authentic Italian. To top it off it was nearly £20 for water and tea for only 2 people! What rubbish. View all feedback.

Booked a table for Saturday lunchtime. Arrived to find place completely empty but despite that we were shown to a table for two in a dark corner. Very rustic interior, with a lot of pictures relating to horse racing given proximity to Ascot Racecourse, and well worn menus. Given we were initially only the diners service was prompt but not overly friendly. However, the food more than made up for the lack of a welcome. We shared a cheesy garlic bread to start and then had Spaghetti Napoli and a Don Beni pizza both very generous portions and tasty. We washed all this down with two glasses of Pinot Grigio, a Moretti and cappuccino. Total with tip £75. Shame the service did not match the delicious food. ps: Don Beni is located in an old pub, The White Horse, which closed in circa 1999.

We have visited this restaurant many times over the past few summers and always make a reservation. We went on a Saturday night and noticed that while there were quite a few people outside in the front, there were not as many inside, which was unusual for 7:30pm. We ordered water (although I dislike paying £4.95 for it when tap water is fine), two large Montepulciano wines, two American Hot pizzas, orange and lemon sorbet (which was delicious), a sambuca, and a double espresso. The total bill came to £96 before tip. The food was good with no complaints, but we experienced mixed service from the waitstaff - one was friendly and even gave us a complimentary grappa when we left, while the other was abrupt. We heard rumors that the restaurant might be changing its name. Despite this, we followed a recommendation and made a reservation for the following two weeks at Pazzia. We hope the restaurant maintains its quality as it would be a shame if it is not the same as before. We will revisit next summer and provide an update.

I went to this restaurant today with my family after my son drove supercars in Aldershot. The food was great and the portions were generous. I had salmon risotto while my son had spaghetti bolognese. The ambience was nice, although the table behind us was quite noisy due to young, misbehaving children with wealthy parents. The restaurant had a rustic feel with lots of pictures on the walls. The staff was efficient and charming. I highly recommend this restaurant, although it is a bit pricey at over £100 per person.
