The restaurant offers excellent, authentic Indian cuisine of high quality. I highly recommend the Amritsari fish and salmon tikka. Be sure to try the Makhni Daal and enjoy some Kulfi for dessert. The service is good, though the atmosphere could use a bit more energy, which will likely improve as more customers visit. View all feedback.
What Florian Mertens doesn't like about Bombay Mansion:
I really wanted to like this restaurant. The starter was good and quite different. The main, I had a chicken Tikka Makhni (which the waiter called Chicken Tikka Masala when he brought it) tasted mainly of Tomato soup, very little else, it was edible but extremely disappointing and definitely not worth the £10.95 price !!!! My dining partner had Lamb Saag Gosht that was on the bone (this wasn't mentioned on the menu)... View all feedback.
Dishes much spicier than advertised and when we asked for some yoghurt or raita to make the food more palatable, we were charged £3.25 for a tiny bowlful. Also service was random with starters and mains arriving almost at the same time.
Very disappointing. Looks nice inside out, but has no soul inside. I expected to pay more would have been happy to, but the quality was not great.
Great food apart from poppadoms and dips, tasted like they were from a packet and not fresh, also tiny, needs replacing with genuine ones!! Lighting too harsh, a dimmer switch needed! And soft furnishings/blinds to the windows to feel cosier.
Welcome new Indian restaurant on A30 near Bagshot. Food good although not outstanding. Great service and good wine list.
Excellent authentic Indian food of good quality. The Amritsari fish and salmon tikka are recommended. Try the Makhni Daal and have Kulfi for Dessert. Good service. There is only a little atmosphere that will improve more people who go.
