Reviews - Amato's
Reviews summary
Amato's Restaurant delivers a blend of culinary highs and lows, leaving patrons with varied impressions. While some rave about the fresh Lobster Roll and attentive service, others express disappointment, particularly with the bread quality and incorrect sandwich orders. Instances of poor customer service marred the dining experience for some, yet heartwarming moments of employee compassion shine through, showcasing the staff's commitment to customer care. With a menu filled with Maine favorites and a homey atmosphere, there’s potential for enjoyment. However, the inconsistency in food quality suggests that improvements are necessary for a truly exceptional dining experience.

Ordered on Door Dash. Duper happy the hot peppers I added to my pizza weren 't pepperoncini but actually pretty hot jalapeños. I 'm usually disappointed in hot peppers or so called heat so thanks for bringing it! Oh yeah! Wife got the ham Italian, really good but now she knows for next time to order double ham. Thanks!

Eat Italians for years and moved out of the state, looking forward to one. It was terrible. I decided it was the bread, it had crust on both sides and ruined the taste. The bread should and has been soft on all sides and absorbs the oil. Very disappointing and my last visit to Amatos
Staff really is attentive and cranks out the orders. Nice extensive menu of Maine variety store eats. Tables available for dining in. Cooler items, snacks chips are available too.
Really bad experience. Eating took forever. Worst looking steak and cheese ive ever seen. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great. Could be another next time.
Love, love the original Amatoes sandwiches. When we get to Maine, it's a must! We share a big double, yes. Had 4 so far this trip!

Love, love the original Amatoes sandwiches. When we come to Maine this is a MUST! we split a large double, yum. Had 4 so far this trip!
The staff here are incredibly wonderful and friendly. While I've had a few less-than-ideal experiences, that’s part of any dining journey. Overall, most of my visits have been fantastic. It’s truly a staple in Windham.
I stopped by for lunch today. The Pazzo bread from the warmer was delicious! I picked up a moon sandwich from the cooler, but I noticed it was two days old after checking the label. Once I started eating it, the cheese was melted, and the roll was soggy, so I ended up throwing the sandwich in the trash.
