The Homestead - Windber
The Homestead
Description
Nestled in a cozy corner, this restaurant presents a mixed bag of experiences. While some patrons rave about its welcoming atmosphere and delicious menu, highlighting favorites like the ribeye and Reuben, others express frustration with inattentive service, noting long waits without a menu or drink order. The establishment boasts ample parking and a family-friendly environment, though some find accessibility lacking. Overall, the culinary offerings and friendly staff receive high praise, yet the inconsistent service leaves room for improvement. For those seeking a hidden gem, this spot may be worth a visit—but it’s best to go in with tempered expectations.

I arrived at the restaurant and was seated immediately since it was not busy. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with a beautiful fireplace. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. My only complaint is that they don't include their wings on the regular menu. It would be better to have all offerings on one menu. The parking lot is not ideal for those with disabilities. Overall, the dinner experience cost between $20-30 per person.

I would like to give a better review, but I have nothing to say... Came in, sat at the bar, bartender saw me, left the bar, I sat for about 10 minutes before I decided to leave! Didn't get a drink, would have liked to, but when the bartender disappears for 10 minutes, it's a little hard to do. Recently moved to area, looking for new bar, this will not be it! Meal type: Other
