What User likes about The William Walker:
We had a wonderful evening at the restaurant on Friday, December 12th. Despite it being very busy, we were lucky enough to secure a table that we didn't have to give up all night. View all feedback. What meandmylovelies doesn't like about The William Walker:
Sunday lunch to celebrate my sisters birthday. Food is average, the portion is small, the gravy was synthetic . Enormous dry Yorkshire pudding. For twenty quid each I think the standard of the food could be elevated. The meal was only warm, not hot. 2 carrot sticks, half a parsnip , dessert spoon of cabbage, didn’t really notice the cauliflower cheese it got absorbed into the gravy. Three bits of potato, 2 slices of... View all feedback.

read moreThe restaurant presents a mixed experience, attracting diners with its charming atmosphere and convenient city-center location. While some patrons enjoy friendly service and excellent cocktails, many express disappointment with the food's quality and temperature—often described as average, overpriced, and hastily prepared. Smaller portions, lackluster flavor, and inadequate warmth have led to critiques, especially for traditional Sunday roasts. However, larger groups have reported satisfactory service and delicious meals, praising the attentiveness of the staff. With a little more consistency and care in food preparation, this venue has the potential to elevate its dining experience considerably.
This is a charming pub, but I was not allowed to take a photo outside with a pint in hand, which was disappointing since I share the same name as the pub.
