The Fishers Pond - Winchester

Had booked a table for Friday at what on some of the last star reviews, discussed change of our plans, but glad that we didn't. eating was great, between us we had pizza, pie and burger, all very tasty and came in a reasonable...time staff friendly and helpful. the only brand below was several elements from the menu, including the fish and chips that was not great for a Friday.

Nice to sit outside in the sunshine. encouraging how many people sat in the terrace. beautiful interieur, enough parking. but oh my eating was terrible I had a fish goujons wrapped when it first thought disappointment arrived, the smallest...wrap blown into the packaging with over goujons. no salat or garnish . fries as expected. a side salat rockkete spargel whisky could have been the garnish with the package at the price. I understand that food/fuel bills have risen, but that was terrible and I would not recommend eating here or eating again. they have a victor here with the place, but eating does not make the place just.

Really like fishers pond and it has just been refurbished and it looks fabulous and makes the best out of its location and beautiful view. eating is a good value for money and we had a waiter on our last visit called nick, who was both...a very attentive.

Absolutely awful! We booked a table on Good Friday at our food arrived at terrible! The worst meal we have had for ages. We would have sent it back if we weren't so hungry. Used to be a great pub but not...any more. It's now part of a chain, menu has changed (not for the better), not enough staff to cope and quality of the meal awful; reheated, bland and unappetising.

My friend and I had a late lunch here and were served by Nick who was very helpful and attentive. I decided to go low calorie and was not disappointed by the chicken skewer and rice. We also tried the lower alcohol sauvignon which did...not disappoint and was great for a lunch time drink. We will definitely go back.
