Arrived without booking on a Sunday, made to feel very welcome, despite being outside on patio had table service for drinks as well as food. Has large inside eating area, garden marquee outside, table service supposed to be only for inside but extended to patio. Dog friendly water bowls provided doggie ice cram for dogs. Food was delicious, portions enormous, saw fish chips the roasts being served in a way glad hadn'... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Hinton Arms:
I had high hopes for this pub as the reviews were all good. However, and disappointingly so, the food was over cooked and tough. The king scallops albeit tasty were far from king scallops. We opted for the fillet of lamb and duck from the...Christmas menu and the meat was just ruined. The liver and bacon had far too much mustard in the mash and was surrounded by gravy which was nice but just too much of it. No coffee... View all feedback.
Went today for lunch starters was well nice service was good but the steak was like rubber I told the waitress and was hoping for a refund on the steak but nothing so that's my review the steak was rubbish. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Fish and Chips
This old pub is a joy. Set in a beautiful location right on a main road it's charming. There is such a warm welcome from the staff and the building is fascinating. The food is excellent and good value for money. Dogs are welcome . Large car park and very pretty grounds. In the summer they have beautiful hanging baskets and in the winter cosy wood burners. It's a fascinating place and just has the the feel of a cosy, welcoming, traditional pub...... brilliant. It's individuality adds to its charm and thankfully it's not part of a chain. We liked it so much we went back a second time and will be going back again......to the point it's not near us but is definitely worth the drive. Well done The Hinton Arms.
This charming country pub is adorned with framed photos of horses and horse riders. It boasts a spacious garden that can easily accommodate 100 people, as well as a large car park in the back. Families with children will appreciate the outdoor play area equipped with swings and a climbing frame. The pub exudes a cozy and authentic atmosphere, but the standout feature is the food. The majority of ingredients are sourced locally, resulting in generously portioned dishes. The sausages are sourced from a farm in Alresford, and the menu includes a homemade venison burger made with local ingredients. Guests can also enjoy a selection of local ales, including the pub's own golden Hinton ale, which is particularly delicious. Highly recommended.
The Hinton Arms is always welcoming with its beautiful flowers surrounding the building. This lovely country pub and restaurant serves delicious food and has polite staff. Other establishments should take note of the welcoming atmosphere here and consider how they could improve their own. The Hinton Arms sets a great example for others to follow, as so many places seem to lack the effort needed to thrive. Well done, Hinton Arms! The price per person is typically between £10 and £20.
We, a party of four, enjoyed a fantastic lunch at this restaurant today. The service was top-notch and the food was seriously delicious. We will definitely be returning here in the future. The cost per person was between £20-£30. The food and service both receive a rating of 5, while the atmosphere received a 4. We highly recommend trying the Cheese Burger and Fish and Chips.
