Nice beer cider selection, they've got 3 beavertowns on tap, definitely a good pub for a pint or two, conveniently located right next to the bus station. Popular place for watching the football. Not tried the pizzas yet but heard they're very good. View all feedback.
What bparkercars doesn't like about Alfies:
Popped in early on a freezing cold Sunday evening. Very large, probably more suited for large parties but very quiet at this time. No atmosphere, though one of the barmen was cheerful. Little choice of ales but the dearest pub we found. Won't be returning. View all feedback.
A bouncer pinned an associate of ours for no apparent reason and then refused to show ID. absolutely appalling from the bouncer, expected better from an established pub like that. never coming here again, disgraceful!
Complete transphobia from the bouncer assistant manger. Even though I had proof of being in there before and bank transfers from buying drinks. The assistant manager has even served me and my friends before was no problem. They then said that my proof of identity wasn’t valid. But had no proof of this and the assistant manager couldn’t even tell us about this policy. Again, I have been there countless of times and had no problems.

Lovely cosy pub, food good, great Christmas atmosphere
Absolutely awful never going back again, security at this place are unprofessional don't care about the public only look out for themselves, there rude and DON'T LISTEN all need sacking, management are just as bad, seriously avoid this place do not go in here, bar staff are probably the only decent thing in this place and there wasted there
