It was busier than the Nightworm in the neighboring city of Fardale. I ordered a pint of Shipyard for £2.49 at the table (since there was no bar service available). There are some nice pieces on the wall (see photos). Definitely worth a visit! View all feedback.

Nice atmosphere and pub but took ages to be served and every single table outside was piled up with glasses and plates the whole time we were there so no clean table to sit at View all feedback.

Always very impressed with Wetherspoons, and finding this one on our way back from a day out was a pleasant surprise. It was a very busy Friday evening, and we had a short wait outside before a table was available. Our order was delivered very quickly considering how busy it was, and everything was exactly as we wanted. My only gripe was how very noisy it was, but this obviously had nothing to do with the establishment, I’m assuming it was just timing, and the fact it was so busy. Parking can be an issue, as the venue doesn’t offer any parking other than staff, and disabled badge holders, and even though we fell into the latter, the three disabled bays were occupied, so we had to park elsewhere!! Not a problem, but something to be wary of if you’re reliant on parking nearby. Overall, very impressed with this place, and despite it being so crowded, the staff were all happy, friendly and super efficient!!
It's a Wetherspoon.... you know what you are getting and it's a decent price, we all eat the vegan breakfast and the sausages aren't great but zero complaints really, it's a nice building and makes a change to go there sometimes. 3 stars only for the quality of the food but it's expected and not a problem at all
The service is good When there last was in outside area near the kitchen had a coffee in garden unfortunately experienced shouting foul language and very offensive banter in a shouting volume. I thought it was customers having a disagreement was surprised to see it was coming from the kitchen staff not very growen Up or expected be it at work or in society in general
Been going here for years with mainly better than average experience. This evening though 8 of us with one five month old baby were asked to leave just after 9pm due to the no under 18 rule. What an absolute joke went to the olive branch and gave them our money until closing time. Maybe some further training required for the waitress as she must be affecting their profits.
